Funny, since the Dead are not making tix available until next week, but that doesn't mean some stuff is not being "set aside" by venues, promoters, etc.

I was at the Greek this summer with the manager of a major act and the tix he and I used he'd bought off hubstub - for his own act and purchased prior to online sale date. He did it at every major stop in an effort to track what seats and what venues and correlate same with other folks. There could be some interesting suits to come out of the same, but, as always, the true fans get screwed. Hopefully the Dead's experience in advance ticket sales will make sure the right people get the right seats (but no way in hell would I cough up much money to see this tired group of wandering ministrels)

I'll take the $250 or so and apply it to the purchase of new speakers which will enhance my listening pleasure as I continue to accumulate volumes of FREE Grateful Dead. Remember? The Golden Days of Yore? Yeah, I've got digitally remastered copies. How sweet is that?

Let the rich, phony yupsters pay such ransom.

Yep. Think I'll just get some of my favorite shows, invite some friends over and attempt to blow up my stereo. All for free.

Yeah - I think it would be a better investment to put those hard earned dollars towards new Speaks for the wife's mini-van, I occasionally have to drive it and crank up the good music! Plus she's trying to talk me into a long drive to SC to visit my folks for Easter - may have to put those speakers on the fast track!

at around $140 or so per ticket, the cows will just have to wait til after the show. but i will let them see me prior to the show just to add an extra tease of their forthcoming pleasure pasture call.

(ewwww)

things are going great here my friend - other than the weather of course. have a freakin' blast at the show tonight!!!!! be safe too!!!!! let me know how it was :)
